Hi,
Which engine would you recomend as the most fuel economical?
Looking to buy a SII conversion. Or wanting to converse. Anybody know any conversion mechanics in/around Melbourne?

only ever having driven the one landrover, my 88" bitsa truck cab with 3/4 tilt, i can only tell you what my mpg is (UK based)
i get 36mpg out of mine driven without too much aggression, this is on 7.50x16 Deestone Extra Traction tyres, 3.54 diffs and overdrive (the OD doesn't make too much difference, the lead in my right boot has most influence)
this 88" is powered by a discovery 200tdi
i hope to find out what my 1965 109 does soon, 200tdi engine, 300tdi turbo, TD5 intercooler (and 4.3 diffs at present) no OD yet
