    removing turbo oil drain pipe

I'm trying to undo the drain pipe at the block. Nut loosens OK but the pipe wants to spin around with the nut. I've tried vice grips on the pipe while turning, banging it with a hammer, WD40, but it won't seem to seperate. I looked at removing it at the turbo end but without the turbo out its near impossible to get at. Am I missing something? assumed this pipe was an ordinary one where the nut spins independantly from the pipe.

Mines off a 300 Tdi but it looks very similar

It does look like it should turn. When I pulled mine off to fit another turbo I just wound the whole fitting out of the block. After taking the 2 bolts out of the bottom of the turbo

    Are you replacing the hose?

I think I've worked it out. It actually has two nuts together one is on the block. I loosened the block one was well. Could only see it tonight with a torch on it. Trick now is to seperate the two as the one on the block side is very thin. Going to buy a cheap spanner and grind it down. I was removing to get at the exhaust manifold gasket. Straight forward job so far except for this little problem. But the weekend is now over and Im back to work tomorrow so it will have to wait another 5 days
