The BXV-2 was used on both the 179 and 186 but with different number codes.
The numbers denote flange size, throttle barrel size and choke type amongst
other things.
What codes have you got?
Hi, any stromberg carby experts on here?
I want to know what the different letters on the side of the bowl of a stromberg mean and refer too.
My old maintenance and specification manual specifies a 186 from a HK with a manual gearbox should have a BXV-2, be a 1 5/32 venturi and have HPM on the side of the bowl.
I have other 1 5/32 venturi strombergs here but they have different letters on the side of the bowl.
Can anyone please enlighten me as to what difference/s there are internally etc. in relation to the different lettering?
Hoping someone can help.
Cheers, Mick.![]()
