Wow - that picture has nothing to do with the text in that story though, other than it MAY have happened down there too, but they didn't mention it specifically at all.

I notice the name of the picture file(carvtruck.jpg or similar) suggests the LR hit a Truck though ...

I noted a one line reference in the attached article to the crash at a particular intersection, Ryrie and Yarra.

I infer that no one was hurt - kind of a minor fender bender so to speak, but a good picture.

I presume the other vehicle was big as it appears to have driven over the front end of the Rover from the right side. Considering the bonnet damage, (what bonnet), it appears that damage to the passenger compartment was minor except I expect all the air bags went off and effectively totalled it.

In other junk yard 3's I have seen, generally passenger compartment damage is limited to air bag destruction and bent doors - roof never seems to be caved in and most of the doors still open. This link as a few pictures of a junk yard 3 in the States - one of the jpgs shows the interior.
