    D4 Manual Seat Height Position

I have a D4SE 3.0 MY2011 model. The front seats are not electric, I did not bother with that option because being the only driver, I though how often would I need to adjust them.

But what I am finding is the manual height adjustment on the seat will not maintain its setting. I like to sit high so pump the seat up but over the course of a couple of days or so I find it slowly sinks.

I will be taking it up with the dealer but just wondering what others with manual seat adjustments have found. Does your seat height maintain its set position?

Yep I had the same thing with my D3 and my D4. ULR and Lance Dixon tried to fix the D3 seat a few times and in the end changed it for an electric adjustment.. Lance Dixon were surprised that I had the same thing on my D4 saying that they had no one else reporting the problem. They did however change it for a new one but still the seat falls over a couple of days. I think it's because of means my wife being shortarses our legs press the lever every time we get out of the car therefore lowering the seat. LR obviously didn't have any short test drivers then! I reckon that LR would have changed quite a few under warranty because of short drivers and not faulty mechanisms!

I thought I must have been bumping my D4's lever getting in and out but on a recent journey on several occasions the seat sank without the vehicle having been stopped. Hence it will get a mention to the dealer prior to the next service. I intend strapping a stake under the lever to prove that the seat does indeed sink without the lever having been moved.

Not sure what you mean by a lever lock or why locking the lever would help. I agree with Graeme - my perception is the seat sinks without the lever moving.

all we do is stop the leaver so it dosent move, so it wont make the seat move up or down unless somthing is wrong,

The problem then is that the height cannot be changed as required - dammed if you do ...
My idea is to prove the point then if its me rather than a fault, the prop will be made to fold so that the seat can be lowered.
