Mozilla Firefox had a hit - cannot open PDFs

My Mozilla Firefox browser has had a hit and I cannot open PDFs that are impeded in urls. When I open the URL with the PDF all I get is a white page but no document. However if I save that PDF even though I cannot read it via the browser and open the saved PDF using Acrobat it opens.

If I use Internet Explorer (yuk) it does open the the PDF in the URL no problems.

Can anyone tell me what Firefox settings I need to change to allow PDFs to open in URLs.

    Thanks

I had the same problem last night, didn't think much of it at the time as I just wandered downstairs to the desk top. But looking at tools>options>applications I just clicked the pdf apps and made them open in acrobat reader (default). Will see if that works!

I ditched Acrobat totally as it's such a resource hog and use Nitro PDF now instead.

There's probably better PDF readers, Nitro is just the first I found that was free

Thanks - that worked - it was set to use Firefox so I changed it to Acrobat. I dunno why it changed things - maybe a update changed things or it was missing a plug-in.

    Works now - thanks.
