And here he is in good company in the shed. I have a feeling it will be a while before he gets started and moved again.

Well I have had a garden Gnome for a little over 12 months now but finally got some space and time free to do something with it.
1955 86" for anybody who didn't see the thread when it first arrived.
This was when it was left in the garden, it was a lot more overgrown by the time it came back out.
And yesterday I got it out under it's own power. Put a battery in, a bit of fiddling with the fuel pump, a bit of fuel in the tank and down the carbie to get it going initially and drove it out. No brakes, clutch is a bit dodgy and the transfer case moves a bit like it is full of syrup, but it goes.
Parked it on the driveway, funny how you are on a hill and suddenly remember you have no brakes, hmm, thankfully the handbrake does work. Got the seats out and then hit it with the pressure cleaner. Looks pretty good all up.
All the sealing rubbers are completely shot, probably needs lots of new or replacement bits to get everything working properly, but I think he looks pretty good for a 56 year old. And the engine starts and runs very nicely. The only bad rust is drivers side of the bulkhead, just under the windscreen, chassis seems very good and the rest of the bulkhead and floor also seems good.
Now he is going up in the shed and the long job of pulling him apart and putting him back together can start.
Cheers,
TimJ.

Looks like she's all there under the bonnet, Tim - nice one...and like mine, she has the "newer" front radiator panel.
Look forward to introducing her to Matilda.

I love the way the windscreen wipers are missing, but the rest of the car is there. It's like someone walked past and said, oo just what I need, some wipers.
good looking adventure you have there.

Cheeky yes, but he is right. Fortunately in the various piles of spares I got with it there are a couple of steering wheels. They need restoration but they are the right ones. Ask him what else he can spot.
