    Prawns to Adelaide

    Gday All,

    Sorry for the delay,
We have tried to keep our prices low, but the export market for tiger prawns and the real bad catches have forced the price of the Large tigers up abit.

I am offering the tigers at cost price, but have a very limited amount, so I may have to stop offering them once I sell what I have.
The only increase from last year is the large tigers in the 3kg box all other prices are the same.

The product will go to Gilberts depot in Adelaide, will advise of the suburb soon

I need a minimum order of 8x9kg cartons and sent as 1 consignment for this to work..

    Tiger Prawns...
Under 8 (8 or less per pound)..1.5kg box =$43 our premium prawn & our largest by far..

10/15...(10/15 per pound).....3kg box =$63. A noticable size difference to the u/8 but still a good prawn size

Endeavour Prawns..These are direct competition to king & Banana prawns
Under 15...(15 or less per pound)...3kg box =$53

15/25...(15/25 prawns per pound)....3kg box =$43 This is a good medium size prawn..

Please compare my prices to your local supplier, and when you compare prawn prices make sure you compare the size grade's (count per pound) as this is standard across all prawn industry's..

Would look at getting these out of darwin around 6th December to arrive around 10th.

    Cheers Ean

    Gday All,

We are tossing up the idea of offering some of our by-catch, mainly Morton bay bugs..

This is going to require alot of help at your end as we have to keep these whole due to a size limit that is measured across the head.We pack them in 1kg bags, and because of this a master carton only holds about 6-7kgs.

I would need to send all the bugs together and you would need to seperate the order at your end.If I tried to seperate the bugs into orders like the prawns, the freight cost would kill the idea due to the amount of boxes I would need to send.

If this could work I would look at charging $21 kilo.

Think about it, so check what you pay locally and let me have some idea if you think it could work.

    Cheers Ean

    Thanks for that Ean.

Will be in again this year.

And, I think the bugs will be a good one too.

    Cheers.

Just a quick question - what date do you need the orders by?

Also, Tombie will be in again this year, but has just started back at work, so probably wont see this thread for a week or so.

    Hi Ean,

Just a quick one, roughly, how many Moreton Bugs would there be in a kilo?

We have a size limit of 60mm across the head, a 1kg bag will give between 9 - 13 bugs.

    Gday All,

Maybe I didn't explain myself properly with the bugs,

The way I pack the orders is to keep everyones seperate and write on the back of the outer carton who's it is and whats inside. If I have room to keep the bugs with your prawns I will,

BUT I may have to send a box of say 6x1kg bags of bugs and it may need to have 3 taken out to top up an order from 2 people.

THIS IS WHEN IT WILL HAVE TO BE DONE AT YOUR END, SAME AS I DID WITH SOME OF THE SINGLE ORDERS LAST YEAR.

I do plan on keeping every order seperate as I have in the past, I just cant send boxes down with just 1 or 2kg in them..

So feel free to order 1kg or 20kg of bugs, and I will let you know once I have packed it if there is any that need to be combined.

    Any questions just ask.

    Cheers Ean
