Inertia Reel Seat Belts - 101

Has any one replaced the standard 101 lap sash seat belts with inertia reel seat belts?

If so can you describe where you mounted the inertia reel and what mods are needed and where you mounted the shoulder bit up on the roll bar - I assume the little cross reinforcing pipe on the roll bar is the best spot - does it need reinforcing and how did you do it?

    Pictures would be great.

I am going to put some D2 seats in my 101 and I will need to put in inertia belts first.

    Thanks

I think AJ has them in his. If not, I seem to remember them being three point.
Hey, Sleepy. Up for a trip to Montrose to take pictures for Gary?

What about Cooee's old 101? Did that have inertia reel seat belts?
It's a day trip for me to visit (for photo taking) but there is a very nice pub nearby.

I'm interested in this also. Still a long way off this for mine but would like to have these for when the truck is rego'd.

Garry, how will you go for head room with the D2 seasts in?

Should be Ok - I will take the D2 mounts off which raise the seat quite high and use the 101 bases (a little work might be required). I understand Defender seats fit OK and the D2 seats are as thin in the centres but have a bit more padding in the sides - the seats are a bit wider though but will fit in.

Working this weekend Mick but keen on a trip over.

I've got inertia reels in mine. Bit different to Ron's.
I'm not 100% happy with the mounting , it is a bit high.

I'll get some photos for you soon Garry. (It's pitch black outside, got a thunderstorm overhead.)

Thanks Ron - your top mount is a bit lower than I was expecting - thought it might gave been up on the tube cross piece - maybe a bit too high.

Mrs H and Sleepy - pics of other alternatives would be good if not too much trouble.

    Cheers
