    A day trip to Ashcrofts

    Hi all,

I've been sitting on these photos for nearly a year now, not really sure where to post them. But here they are: Ashcroft Transmissions pictures by rschipp - Photobucket

In Jan this year I was in London on holidays and took a side trip to Luton with my youngest daughter to pick up a CDL kit for my D2. My wife and eldest daughter were in the city shopping... and they spent more than I did.

Nicole showed us around the workshop:

And Ian Ashcroft showed me the prototype for the Force9 diff:

Nicole is the lass on the left next to my daughter Ella:

We both have a good time at Ashcrofts and my D2 is loving the CDL kit.

So if your in London and have a spare day then I can recommend a trip to Ashcrofts.

(I didn't have any weight allowance in my baggage to bring some axles back home, but I did measure my suitcase to be sure that they would fit.)

    Cheers
    Ron

Did you get any indication when the front / rear axle Force 9 kits would be available ?

    Hi Ron,

glad you enjoyed the brief visit, your daughter Ella must have been a bit bored though !!

You were wise to get out of London, nothing worse than wandering about the shops with your wife spending like fury !

Pannawonica : Force 9's are ready to go :

    Thanks Dave,

It was Ella's choice, got to make the most of these years when everything "dad" does is cool; but yes she was getting a bit bored at the end. I could have spent a few more hours there talking Land Rovers and their transmissions.

We caught up with the others at Harrods of all places...

    Cheers

I'm envious, I would love to be able to go over and check out what they have and have the money to be able to get what I wanted from them.
