Baldwin filters are aftermarket-only, and hence mediocre quality.

Fleetgard should be good, You could always order a few and then you will have a few years supply...

You may be able to order from a filter supplier in the US for less.

    I use fleetguard.
I believe fleet guard supplied to the aust army and when I last ordered they still carried stock.
The problem is in the four or five years I have owned a 101 it has never required a replacement air filter as they are so large and therefore little demand for them.
AJ in melb may have exarmy stock ?

I use Donaldson air filters as I got a few still in their boxes with my 101. As Ron as said they do last a long time - I have only replaced one as a precaution after a dusty outback drive.

    K&N is OK.
it can be recleaned/retreated regularly.the original instruction was to tap filter and recoat-clean ever 100000 miles.the dirt forms a dust prefilter.
the equipment we use on dirt roads-grader/roller water cart backhoe all have saftey filters and cyclone prefilters.we normally get no more than 250 hours out of primary filters and 50 hours for lawn mower.

I bought redline australian cleaning kit as it was cheeper for the same product and havnt used it up in 6 years.the biggest cost with these filters is when relations replace them with stock items as its got a dirty filter.
I recomend these for road cars and racing vehicles.

washing filter--we get----to clean and test at a fraction of new price..what your buying is a warranty.get 3-5 cleans.
with the nissan you could option paper filters that are recleaned with water-the normal treated paper was not to be cleaned.

IF YOU LOOK UP FILTER TESTING OF A FEW YEARS AGO.
baldwin wasnt junk and K&N passed fine particals lots of these test done mostly due to filter hype.the classic test compares filters to a hummer filter--its hugh truck like.

Filtration Testing for Amsoil, K&N, Napa, Jackson Racing, Baldwin, and Mazda air filters on a Miata

but often so many of the name brands have off shored and make cheep junk.we buy in fleet gaurd as the stock most of our needs at low costs.most of the filters not stocked by number can be found using measurements.
