    National Luna aux battery box

G'day guys, I'm after some advice if anyone has had experience or has knowlage of the following; I have as a second battery, a National Luna aux battery box with an AGM battery and wanting to hook up solar panel for charging. Does anyone know if a solar panel can be hooked straight up to the internal electronics of the box, or would the panel still need to go through its own regulator? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you will still need a regulator on the panel as the box has a voltage sensing solonoid same as any other dual batt system.

You need to have a regulator, in most cases you would just fit one of the smaller ones to the back of the pannel, then run your wires straight into the anderson plug on the box, I would use the RED anderson plug that you plug the vehicle cable in but the other grey one would be fine too.
But you have to have a regulator.
    Cheers
