    80 inch swivels

G'day guys, just after some more advise! The front swivels on my '52 80in are leaking quite badly, any ideas on a fix? The chrome balls are reasonable but there is a little too much play in the splined bushes, do I do a full new/ reco unit if available or is there a kit to refurb my existing ones? Once again your advise is appreciated.

If it hasn't already been done you can retrofit it with the later Railko bearing kit. Make sure you get the kit and not the SIIa/SIII bushes as the pins are different.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

I also vote for changing to the later Railko type bush. Very easy change and totally invisible from the outside. Can't think of any reason why it would be worth keeping the brass cone setup really. Despite that though, have you tried adjusting them up by removing the shims? A new swivel seal would be a good idea too of course.

    Cheers,
