    Broken Engine Mounts

I had an engine pipe break away from the bottom of the turbo. Breakage was around the pipe just a couple of mm under the weld to the plate.

It was suggest that it may have been caused by a broken engine mount...

Not sure how to check them ? I lifted the engine, the mounts both stretched about 12mm and then the suspension started to lift. They appeared to fine, there are no witness marks where the fluid has drained out.

Driving is normal, no vibrations, no engine rocking around, the gear stick doesn't thrash around.

How do you check 100% if they are okay ?
I dont want to break the new pipe
