    Door seals

Greetings to all , I have a 1997 fender and currently doing a minor resto and was wondering if anyone has fitted the puma bottom door seals to an earlier model ? What if any mods need doing and if anyone has a part number for them ?

    Thanks so much in advance

You need to drill and rivet the lip to the bottom of the door.
Have not done mine yet but have the seals.

    Part numbers:

    1 x LR029307, WEATHERSTRIP - DOOR (RH) - LOWER (2nd Row)
    1 x LR029308, WEATHERSTRIP - DOOR (LH) - LOWER (2nd Row)
    2 x LR029309, WEATHERSTRIP - DOOR - LOWER (Front Doors)

Google search the part numbers and you will find a range of UK suppliers.

I have a 2008 PUMA, the new style door seals did not appear until 2010.

My model just had the rubber strip along the bottom of each door that all the defenders have.

When I fitted the new style I had to remove the original rubber strips by drilling out the rivets that hold them on.

The new style door seal have plastic plugs that line straight up with the original rivet holes - very easy.

Because the new style wrap around the bottom of the door and part the way up the side, you need to drill an extra hole on each side of each door.

In total, about a 40 minute job (10 min per door) and well worth the effort. Dust, water, wind and noise all noticeable reduced.

    Cheers
