Good looking trip![]()
We met @ maccas as planed, some grabbed a coffee when I noticed some oil on the back of 'arnie', on closer inspection the rear diff was loosing a lot of oilso it was decided that 'Arnie' should return home and 'Queen Mary' made the trip instead
'herc' and 'banjo' set off a little late, down the Mt Lindesay H/way stopping a couple of times, as you do with series vehiclesfinally arriving in Guyra around 4.30PM.
The camp was very good with reasonable, though clean, showers and toilets, power and shady trees, though we didn't need shadethough they were great a keeping the drizzle of us all weekend
The Potato & Lamb Festival was very good with a variety of arts and crafts, as well as food stalls.
Now for some pics
forrunner to a KFM...The Wiles Army Steam cooker, she cooked roast lamb lunch for her famly in there
The run along the 'old coach road'
static displays at the festival
Timj took several photos, including the parade down the New England Highway, we were behind the organiser, Rob's Blitz, as we drove the furthest under our own steam
hope you enjoy

It was a good trip once we got on the road again after the Pinzgauer decided to drop most of the oil in the rear diff onto the road, the back of the Pinzgauer and the front of Banjo that Phill was driving behind us. Followed by a large lot of it in the Macca's car park. Luckily Carolyn saw the oil on the back and then we saw the puddle underneath. RACQ to the rescue and a trip home in a tow truck. Then we found out that the D3 doesn't have quite as much room for the camping gear as the Pinzgauer. Still, got it all stuffed in and got going about 5 hours late.
The weekend was wet but not too wet to have fun. Lots of interesting vehicles to see. Here are some photos of the parade.
More photos here - Guyra album | TimJ | Fotki.com, photo and video sharing made easy.
In there are some photos of the trip along the old Cobb and Co road. Lot of fun sliding around in the mud. There is a sequence there of the jeep behind us spinning right round.
Cheers,
TimJ
