TD5 Very Poor Fuel Economy

Really annoyed with the pig today. Achieved the worst ever fuel economy on highway use at 24.65 litres per 100kms. Yes was towing the car trailer into a head wind, at average 80-95kmph, sometimes struggling at that. Looks like another MAF disconnected the sensor and economy did not change.
Getting ready to burn it.
Average towing the car down last week was 18 l per 100kms.
I would estimate trailer and load about 2000kgs or a bit under.

Craig,your oil level isn't going up is it?,your roof rack would give alot of drag. Pat

Pat nah oil level is fine. But found the problem. Oil in ECU plug again, cleaned and all OK, back to 18s towing the trailer.
Went to Mt Magnet and slit a radiator hose. Try getting anything in mount magnet even duct tape. Made some temp repairs that have held.
Finally in Perth. Shame we did not get to catch up before we left.
