    Wheel For a 2009 D4 SE

    Hi Guys,

    I'm looking for a 6th wheel for my D4. I'm currently running the standard 19" OEM LR008547.

I don't really feel like being gouged ~$750 from the dealer. Are there any local alternates or do I have to import?

Found a US mob 'All Factory Wheels' which stock them for $350 USD and export...I'd have to ring about freight cost though. If I go that route I could try to get them to fit a Scorpion ATR (which would save me even more money).

Obviously I'd prefer to avoid the delay, mucking around and risk but if import is worth it, I will go down that route.

The reason I mentioned local alternate is due to the fact that many, many years ago I bought a new OEM Mitsu cylinder head for $300 from a engine rebuild joint....Mitsubishi wanted $1300.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Kev.

Bit confused Robocop, I'm not actually trying to buy anything from anybody on this site per se, just looking for advice on the avenues available.

I've seen plenty of like threads on the tyre posts...

    How is this different?

    What have I done wrong?

Can you be a bit more explicit please?

    Cheers,

    Kev.

Hi Kev, I'm a bit confused myself, I'm not selling anything.. I work in the Cops, the most heavily moderated workplace there is, but there's probably a rule I skimmed over somewhere. You've done nothing wrong don't worry. Your after a specific wheel & where to buy it from. You could try disco4.com as well for your answer.

It's not a D3 rim, but it might suit your purpose

Also, as per the following thread Kev, I'll try to check the place I got my 19" RR rims from this week.

    http://www.aulro.com/afvb/d3-d4-rrs/...2-19-a-12.html

They are what Land Rover refer to as the "off road" rim for Range Rovers, so should suit perfectly which is why I got them as a second set.

    Regards,

    Les.

I have dealt with them and received magnificent and speedy service. The full set of 19's (brand new) including 4x4 Contact tyres I had advertised on here as I only really needed one with no takers, but that is another story.

I have just brought in another genuine OEM rim for my D4 HSE to give me a complete second second set from The Wheels Revolution in Upland USA and again magnificent service. The rim was US$300 and shipping was US$174.00 took just over a week to get it. Be careful that the rims/wheels are not 'Remanufactured' when you purchase.

I didn't know they were classed as the "off road" rim by LR, as far as I was concerned they're just an optional wheel on the Sport, mine has them.

Up until 2009 they were just an optional patterned rim. They decided to call it the "off-road rim" for the 2010 release, but it's the same rim. They stand slightly less proud of the tyre, so perhaps they think they're less prone to damage.

    Cheers,

    Gordon
