    Fuel pump part number request

    G'day,

I just bought a Rave CD (LREPC01) but I need to get a parts order in straight away for a fuel pump, I imagine it will a week or so before my CD arrives.

I understand there are 2 fuel pumps for 130's depending on the VIN and want to make sure I grab the right one.

Can anyone with a RAVE CD or an internal encyclopaedic knowledge of Defender parts numbers tell me if PART NO.WFX000250G will fit my new (to me) truck.

    My VIN is SALLDKH87XA173763.

    Thanks for any help.

    Jason

A RAVE CD won't help at all with part nos. - there are no parts information on that CD.

    You need MicroCat.

That part no. WFX000250G doesn't appear in my copy of MicroCat. Remove the suffix G and it comes up in a parts search showing that pump as applicable to VINs from 2A642700.

Mine shows P/N WQB100420 for your VIN. This may have been superceded.

    I found this:

    USE WFX000260 - WQB100420 - Land Rover Parts & Range Rover Parts

According to Paddocks, the 260 is the go.
The 250 is listed by them for 90 inch TD5

I've just bought a new fuel pump for my 110 TD5 year 2000 Defender. The part number is WFX000260G and suppliers seem to list it for the 130, too, as Ron said.
There are a few different makes on the market but I wanted a genuine or OEM part as it's not something I want to risk going wrong in the middle of the outback.
I think you will find that VDO Siemens make the pumps for LR and you can buy an OEM pump made by VDO.
Here is the supplier I bought from. It was delivered in a few days.

You'll find cheaper after market fuel pumps (All Makes do one for 88 pounds) if you're happy with that. But my VDO unit cost 183 pounds which seemed good value to me for OEM gear.
By the way, I think you will find that the "G" on the end of the part number is used by some suppliers to show that it is an OEM part.
Jason, for peace of mind it may pay you to email the supplier your VIN and ask them to confirm 100% that WFX000260 is the right one for your 130.

    Thanks for the help guys.

I was planning to order a genuine pump through LRDirect. Armed with that info I will put an order in tonight, through VDO unit might be an option....I will have to do some scratching around to see how the VDO compares to the LRDirect unit.

I didnt really look a the blurb for the Rave CD's that hard, even without part numbers it is money well spent. I will have to source the MicroCat files. I have the workshop manual for 99-02 130 Defenders however it is missing a fair amount of the nitty gritty detail I expect for such a document.

I've added that Craddocks link to my favourites, cant have to many parts suppliers!

    Cheers,

    Jas
