Congrats for an excellent choice, now start saving for the diesel implant
Hi all,
After many years of just waving to Defender owners, I've finally bought a pal for the family D3. Over the weekend I purchased a County V8 (85 model).
Brought her home from northern tassie down to southern tassie and only juiced half a tank with a permanent smile all the way
She is in original knick with only a small amount of tidy up needed.
Have driven the kids and they love it better than the D3 !
Now to find a County V8 workshop manual and some LR parts specialists and the dream is now a reality.
The wifey got me a valentine's present today - a set of sunraysia wheels for wider tyres - since she said these tyres are too skinny !
cheers,
bashir

If it's the one recently advertised, good choice, If I was buying another, that would have been top of the list..
hey deejay, yes it was the one.
other than some minor work needed, chassis and mechanically it's in pretty good nick.
had it up on the (home made) ramp on monday, and gave it a good wash underneath.
my father in law (who owns a Series III) had a look and said if you looked from under the vehicle only, you would think its only 8-10 years old. interior is the same good nick.
now to fix the odds and ends and get Tassie rego on it ...
It looks beautiful. I'd be sticking with the skinnies.
