    Suspension Fault

Have a slight problem with my D3. When I choose access height it thinks there is something underneath the vehicle and goes into extended mode. Drives OK and sits at normal road height OK.
Have recently had a service (non LR/Dealer mechanic) and had all the brake rotors skimmed and new pads. Also changed the diff and transfer case oils as well as the engine oil.
I have just got my faultmate so will be having a look with that this weekend. In the meantime any clues as to where to look?

    TIA

    Ivan

Brake discs Skimmed ? you must be joking ,probably cost more than new discs!!Check the sensor rods and sensors to see if they are still positioned correctly and the wiring to them isnt damaged . You sue your not taking the family dog for a walk ?

Ivan - have you got LLAMS fitted - if so check that you have not got -20mm selected because if you have the car will try to lower lower than access height - hit the bump stops and think it has been grounded and go into extended.

Thanks for all the suggestions, will take a good look this weekend. I did check and the cat was not under the car
Parked it outside my mates house and the problem arose. Tried it in my driveway and it lowered itself OK. However, I had tried it in my driveway before and it lowered and then went to extended mode. No LLAMS fitted but I am waiting on a set of Gordons modified height sensors.
To get the brake discs skimmed cost me $20 a disc so a bit cheaper than new discs. I would have fitted new discs but the mechanic reckoned the existing ones were fine and just needed a skim.
