its the ABS pump running, mine does it occasionally, dosent bother me at least I know its working. Nanocom shows no ABS faults & all wheels test Ok. probably time for a flush / bleed
Ok guys, any thoughts?
110 TD5 with ABS & TC
My ABS light is on all the time, no fault logs recorded in Ecu, when I reset it to turn light off it comes back on pretty quickly.
Yesterday was sat stationary at traffic lights with engine on, out of gear & foot on brake pedal waiting for lights to turn green. All was normal and then I felt a rapid vibration in the brake pedal, not as violent / definate as when the ABS kicks in, but that type of feeling. It lasted for 2 or 3 seconds.
When the lights went green I set of as normal.
Since then I've felt it a few times, once whilst braking and coming to a halt. I'm pretty sure I've felt it before yesterday when driving and the mrs says she has too.
Braking ability is not affected and generally the car pulls up to a halt in a straight and controlled manner.
Air-con was also turned off.
Any thoughts as to what could be causing the vibration in the pedal?
Thanks
Jon

check that all your abs sensors are home. give the top of them a light tap with a small hammer being careful not to hit the wirring.
Thanks. When you say hit with a hammer, do you mean a vertical blow to the long edge (top) of the sensor or a lateral blow to the small edges to the side of where the wire goes in?Originally Posted by dundee3012
I presume the latter thus pushing the sensors squarely back into the hub assemble.
