Spark plugs

I expect that this has been asked many times before, but I am looking at replacing the spark plugs in my 109 1967 ute S2A. How do I tell if the 2.25 is a 7:1 or 8:1 engine?
Can anyone recommend a sparkplug type and size?
Any what about the points? are these a basic Repco item also??

Look for a square tab on the head, roughly adjacent to the carby. If you don't have one, it's 7:1. If you do have one, wipe it and look. If it has an 8 on it, it is 8:1, otherwise it is 7:1
