    Hi Guys,

my car gets heaps of interference when running AM stations such as ABC Adelaide. Not sure where to start looking for a solution. Any Ideas?

My D2 also suffers badly from interferance, particulary under bridges and large structures. Its because of the integrated aerial in the window. I was going to mount an external aerial which should solve the static issue when i listen to old man radio

I also get some loss of signal from FM when in the tunnel but not too much. Maybe as Toppa has suggested an external aerial mount would be the solution, there is already a hole in the roof, maybe one of the current roof mount aerials from Holden or Toyota would fit the bill and provide a good seal and reception? Need to run a good size cable to the radio but not insurmountable. Will keep watching this thread to see how you go.

    Cheers,

    Peter.

Some time ago a member suggested this - I keep meaning to follow it up.

I solved this problem by pulling out the Eurovox stock radio and putting in a JVC DAB+ unit. In capital cities it gives me digital radio and has got rid of the bad AM signal. Only thing different in the installation is adding the DAB antenna which is stuck to the windscreen. Great sound on AM (as good or better than FM)
