    Defender 90 - Child Seat

    Hi All,

Have had the usual problems with NSW RTA with trying to get anchor points installed in the D90. Has anyone had any success stories and photos that they can share?

    Cheers.

Not sure if it would work for a 90. I'm assuming you have the 2 forward facing seats. Can't see why it wouldn't though.

We have a 110. For anchor points we have a 50mm pipe bolted into the roof mounts at the rear. Daniel at Expedition Centre sorted it for us, did a great job. The pipe bends so it rises up and over the door. 3 mounts on it. All signed off by engineer.

Can dig out a photo if you are interested.

Owning a Puma 90, and also being grandparents, we'd be interested in this too.

There is a place in Sydney that puts the bolt points in the back of the middle row seats in a 110. I've got an older 02 110 wagon with a crab bar, but have seen a few , including one at mulgo/ Daniels workshop that had the, fitted, they looked like a factory fit. It's near the Camden landrover dealer, I'm sure someone here has posted their name before.

    Tombie, Pickles

Sorry, I lost track of this thread and didn't see your questions until now.

As I said, Daniel at the Expedition Centre organised the fabrication and engineering certificate. The bar itself, from memory is 50mm tube. The curves to follow the door were welded in as the angles were not right for easy bending. On each end of the bar was welded a flat plate that bolted into the roof bolts in the rear corners. The strap mounts were just bolted straight into the bat itself.

I will take a couple of pics at the weekend and post so you can see the bar etc.

When not in use it's very neat and sits out of the way.
