I have one of these fitted.
It hasn't run for about 10 years so I'd better check it out 1st.
Are they the sort of thing that are easily fixed?
Compared to the Wabco system on my RRC, they should be REAL easy! All I can imagine is a perished diaphragm & dodgy check valves. There are kits on eBay:

It's been a while since I've played with those but if you get stuck, give these guys a call:

It's through them that I found out that not all VH44s are created equal - the assistance level can be set up differently depending on the application.
