    Easter at Flanagans Reserve 2012

Well another Easter Trip is done and dusted for 2012.
Fantastic weather every day, which was a blessing.
We arrived on Thursday, along with the Rath Family, and later followed by John R & Greg & Sue around 8pm.
A great turn out by the club with just under 40 people in attendance.
Most of the group arrived Friday morning.
There was plenty of room between the campers, and the river was flowing well.
On Saturday we had 10 cars join in for a drive to Killarney via the Condamine Gorge drive including Dave Hampson, Bullets, and Garry .
Fantastic day for a drive, with a lunch stop at the main park in Killarney enroute.
Only one minor hicup, when John (Bullets) slipped into a deep tench hidden by grass, whilst moving aside to let other cars pass.
A quick winch by The Camel, and we were away again.
Most of the remaining campers went for a bike ride, or lazed around the camp.
In the evenings it was very relaxing sitting by our large camp fires, (Trav would be proud).
The rest of the long weekend was lazing in the river, read a good book, or visit the Rathdowney Heritage Festival.
All in all a very relaxing time was had by all.

Fantastic nights by the camp fire>

Entering one of many Condamine River crossings.

A cool tree to get out of the sun for lunch in Killarney
    Cheers Dave

    Hey Dave,

Just a quick one to say thanks for your efforts as always with the Easter trip, both from me personally, and on behalf of the club.

We really enjoyed the relaxing break and it was good to catch up with everyone again.

I dont have any pictures I am afraid as I forgot to take a camera.

    Thanks again
    Peter

Same here Dave, thanks for your efforts, we had a great break!

A slight hiccup on the Sunday, which was out of our control meant we had to pack up and leave early, but even that didn't spoil the weekend!

    Sorry, no camera either!

Thanks Dave for another great Easter break.

Here are a few photos from the weekend:

    Lunch in the park:

On Sunday, Kayti and I took a stroll to the Lower Portals in the National Park. A nice spot for a swim!

I have more photos of everyone's vehicles from the drive day. If you would like to see more, go to: Flannagans 1012 pictures by craigmarlow - Photobucket

Hi everyone, it was great to finally get to a Flanagan's Camp and meet people. Thanks to Dave for organizing it. I missed the Saurday trip, but here's a pic I took of the camp.

Thanks for arranging the Trip Dave.
    We had a great time.
Here are a couple of pics of the Upper Portals, well worth the 8 K walk if you are into that sort of thing.
