Thumbs down GME TX3200 'flickering' on TX

I had my trusty GME installed in my P38 a couple of weeks ago. No problems.

On the weekend I did some high speed dirt driving - nothing very rough. The UHF stopped working. I got home and metered the power - 0.1V. That ain't enough. So wiggling some wires and presto - on it comes. Measures 12.6V. Tried for a radio check and the thing starts display flickering as soon as TX is pressed, along with a rapid clicking noise. I thought something was wrong with the mic so pulled it apart and found a blue wire was broken. It was far shorter. I dropped into the Comms firm who did the install and they confirmed (again) back to 0V - bad connection, could I bring it in Thursday. They also gave me a new mic.

Got home tonight, UHF is working. Plugged in the new mic and the same rapid display flickering and clicking noise is back! I checked supply voltage and it's got 12.6V.

What the heck is going on?! The set seems to receive OK. Can someone help me out before the comms firm tells me I need a new UHF? Could their faulty connection have fried it somehow?

    Cheers
    Craig

Sorted. Poor connection resulting in very low voltage on TX. Set tested OK. Hurrah.
