    Td5 Viscous fan overhaul.

    Hi all

Has anyone had any experience with separating the Td5 viscous fan? Mine is a bit weak and I want to replace the fluid. I did this on my old patrol with Toyota fluid and was hoping its the same with the Td5. Also does the Td5 have an A/C electric fan? Mine doesn't have one but the 1999 model year manual shows that there should be one at the front just behind the grill. I had the A/C regassed yesterday and the technician said the pressure was 100psi high at start up due to the weak viscous fan and no electric fan but was ok when they placed a large fan in front of the vehicle to increase airflow and simulate the vehicle moving.

I'm thinking to also fit a fan from supercheap and connect via a relay to the fan switching circuit so it operates when the A/C cuts in.

As always, any help much appreciated

    Electric fan

    Nino,

I have a couple of electric fans off TD5 Defender in the shed. You can have one if you pay the postage.

    Electric fan.

    Hi Rick.

That would be really good. If you could get a price on postage I'd be happy to transfer funds or send cash/ COD whatever is more convenient.

    Cheers
    Nino

    P.S. PM me when convenient.
