Isuzu A/C refit woes

Am getting very frustrated with trying to refit the AC / Heater to the 85 County

The Prev owner had removed the fan/coil plenum off the firewall and disconnected all vacuum hoses and wiring and refrig piping.

I have since bought what was apparently a fully functioning plenum , compressor and condenser filter/drier off ebay.

I have no reason to believe that it is not 100%

When getting quotes for someone to refit/recommission that system it has been met with
" Can't use that mate. It has been open to the elements and your compressor , condenser and lines will all be stuffed and we will only fit new"

Is it not possible to flush those out and remove all contaminants ?

Latest quote is at $ 3500 ( to refit brand new std spec system with new lines , condenser and compressor and gas)from a very rebutable / competent Vic based LR repairer and previous quote was $ 4000 from an aircond specialist for a slightly upgraded system.

I am not looking to pay peanuts and am actually prepared to pay up to $ 2500

I am really keen to keep the original in dash system as that gives the benefit of using ac for demist function and allows pressurising the cabin when selecting external air ingress and a few other options I like.

So , does anyone know anyone based in Melbourne who is in the auto aircond field who can give me an honest and objective view of the situation?

You should get in touch with Clarkie who sorted out an aircon problem my local twits couldn't/wouldn't. Definitely knows his stuff when it comes to all things cool.
