Adjusting the Firewall to align the doors

Did a test fit of the doors today after replacing the firewall in my 110.

Unfortunately.. they didn't. The latch passes in front of the strike... They need to go back 4-5mm!

I'm guessing now, my only option is to adjust the firewall? I'm really not looking forward to doing it..

What is the easiest way? I had a lot of difficulty getting the 2 washers I have in them now.. and I need to move the doors a lot..

Has anyone moved the strikes forward with a washer or two there as well?

There might be some play in the hinges you may be able to adjust. As for the strike, as far as I can recall there are some shims of different size available that can be adjusted to achieve adequate protrusion.

I worked the hinges back as far as I can.

Thats good news about the strike.. that will be much easier Are county and defender strikes the same? For some reason I think they may not be...

When I rebuilt my 110 I had to cut the plastic block down on one side for the striker to fit properly.
