    Question Spare wheel question

Wound down the spare on on my new toy 2007 rrs td6 expexting it to be one of the SKINNY pretend spares we get nowadays , what i found was a full size black alloy rim with a full size 1/2 worn out 255 50r 19" tyer , on the rim it has 80kmh or 50mph as a use speed . Is this one of thos emergency spares ? ,bit confused as it is the same size as the wheels on the car but the rim is a different style . .
    Thanks Al.

Not on an RRS, but my son's Saab has a similar spare. He had to fit it just into a long freeway trip nut didn't like the idea of only travelling 80 kph. As its speed rating was H, he considered the speed restriction was due to being skinnier than the other tyres so drove at normal speeds whilst being conscious of possibly less adhesion in some circumstances.

Tyre is the same as the 4 but the rim must a bit more lightweight as it is restricted to 80k.. God knows why they just don't fit a normal wheel...cost saving? Never got a straight answer from my dealer as to the reason.

Whats got me goin is that in the manual it says to pump up the spare to 60psi as it an emergency spare wheel , it sure looks like a normal wheel to me but as you say it may be a liter construction !!
