Hi.
Check the major fuel retailers websites in the high country areas you are going to and see if they are selling alpine diesel at the moment. it should all be alpine diesel at this time of year down south. If it is, no need to worry.

Hi all,
I'm going to spend this weekend in Vic high country, the weather forecast says temp may be below 0 degree celsius. Should I fill any anti-freezing additive to prevent diesel waxing?
Thanks in advance.

Canberra & south has additive in winter months. I assume they'd have started by now.
Set out with half a tank, fill up down there.

I've parked for a few days below zero at ski resorts and never had a problem with diesel I've purchased in Melbourne. Can't say I'd be too worried, but I guess that probably has additives in it...
On a tangent to your question, are you taking chains and/or other mud/snow related recovery gear? The news is forecasting 30cms of snow at Hotham today. It's going to be some tricky terrain in the alpines this weekend!
