    Red face Ser 11A wheels

I am thinking about changing from the standard skinny and not very attractive wheels, to a set of wider, later wheels off a Disco perhaps... any advice on if they will fit?? or if not, what is compatible???

Yes ROV11A. I think the stag wheels look good, a little more offset & slightly wider for 235/85/16 BFG mud terrain radial tyres, nice.

All Landrover wheels up to the RR Classic and Disco 1 fit, in that the stud pattern is the same. Some wheels will not fit because they conflict with either the larger hub protrusion of the Series or the drum brakes. Disco 2 on and P38A on wheels have a different stud pattern. No other maker has used the same stud pattern.

As well as the stud pattern you need to consider the width, offset and overall diameter of the tyres. First is to check the maximum allowed variation in your state. Also, consider whether you really want to fit wider tyres in the absence of power steering. The most common option is the Disco 1 steet wheels, which will fit without direct problems. But note that the offset on them will result in significantly increased turning circle, perhaps not a problem with a swb, but could be with a lwb.

Its not relevant to this discussion, but BMW and Holden also use the 5x120 stud pattern as the D2. I'm assuming you mean no other make has used the same stud pattern as whats known as the Rover stud pattern.

Yes, maybe I was not clear enough. My point was that later Discoveries and Rangerovers do not use the traditional Landrover pattern.
