bigger tyres on an 85 range rover

i need some help. Im looking to get some bigger tyres and some new rims. I was wondering what size would be best for my car. It has a 2 inch lift in it at the moment

are you prepared to cut the guards and flare it?

my old man has 31x10.5 on his 2.5" lifted 4 door, no flares, sits level with the guards and only just touches the rear occasionally, a narrower but taller 235/85 would also be a good size.

i have 31x10.5r15's' on my 4 door rangie. 2" spring lift only. also had to space my rear bump stops down slightly using the terrafirma bump stop spacers, like these. they don't hit at all now, but before i put the bump stops in the rears hit at full suspension travel in the rear. fronts dont seem to hit even at full lock.

Same as mine. 31x10.5's on 15x7 sunnys. Rear touched on top of rear wheel arch at full compression, 1" bumpstop spacing fixed it till i cut the guards.

I run 245/70R16's on 16x7 Disco rim normally. These seem to clear everywhere.

I'm running 31's on mine too, 3" suspension plus 2" body lift. No bumpstop spacers.

The rears would touch before the body lift with a 2" suspension lift, but nothing touches now at full articulation.

The boys run 255/70 R 16's on standard rims on my old '85 classic. I think this is about as far as you can go without body/lift mods.
