    Handbrake Mechansim Return Spring

    I neglected to take a photo when I dismantled so I can't determine how this spring attaches:



    The eyelet @ the bottom is self explanatory but where does it attach @ the top?

    Surely it's not this notch on the lever? That's one HELL of a stretch!



    The spring is a bit on an overkill anyway IMHO!

    There should be a small tab off one the T case gearbox mount the spring attaches to it, can't post a pic ATM, but I am sure you will remember how cheers Dennis

    That makes sense now!

    Yes! T'other end MUST go to a stationary point off the mechanism.

    This is a different gearbox to the one I removed and it has no such tab. I shall go & ferret out what I need.
