    2012 RRS Big Trip

    Hi guys

Just bough a brand new 2012 Range Rover Sport.

I dont know where to post this or who to ask,

I am planning a trip to the cape with a small group in august next year and i need some advise on what i need to do her to make sure it will make it there and back.

i'm thinking smaller rims and roof racks with an awning and tent. but i dont know what brands are best or where to get them.

also does anyone know how to stop the tv turning off above 10kph??

i am at a complete loss
    please help.

    Welcome to the forum!

You've definitely come to the right place. Unfortunately I am absolutely useless to you for this particular question (no experience in this area), but I am sure some knowledgable people will chime in soon.

Meanwhile, there were some recent threads on tool kits and awnings that you might like to check out. I think there was a thread on "What to take" as well.

    Cheers!

With the TV it is Australian Design Rule that you are forbidden from having a TV/DVD screen working in front of car while driving. I am not sure if that also has been applied to Dual View screens, but certainly with single view, they MUST cut out while moving forward by law. Afermarket units are typically linked to the handbrake, if the hand brake is on, they work. Hand brake off, they don't. Not a Land Rover quirk but Australian law.
Re getting car sorted out, lots of advice on this forum. Car is pretty capable as it is.

Congrats on a great choise, I have a 2012 as well and am Brisbane based. I could not imagine taking my baby to the cape..... I asm however planning on doing a trip there with a side x side buggy on a tag along trip next June. I know a guy who runs a two wheel and quad trip up that way so i have decided to out my buggy on the trip......good luck with the rrs, you may want to put a set of 19's on it if you opted for the 20's at the dealership. I am going to get a set and put some Cooper LTZ tires on it for use off road...
keep in touch .....happy too hook up for some day trips if you are keen. Cheers Aaron
