Yes, I have them in my 110 County and it was harder to fit them to my 110, than into a Defender. Also I relocated my handbrake lever up next to the drivers seat using a Disco 1 park brake lever.

They are very comfortable, with adjustable lumbar support etc.

Have you thought of leaving the Defender seats in and using these? Seat Extension - Mulgo Pty Ltd - Australia They are very well made, and Daniel is a very enthusiastic LR owner

I have a few customers using them and they are very impressed.

    Disco seats in a Defender

Thank you for your reply but Im trying to decide on what to buy. Im a bit concered about the seats the Defenders have. I have not driven one yet only my Disco 1. thats why I was thinking of seat change. I am looking at a 94 twin cab ute. I am waiting on internal photos of this vehicle.

Actually you will find the Defender seats quite good, unless they are in poor condition. Many people prefer them to other vehicles, the issue seems only to be that tall people require more leg room, therefore those seat extensions are a godsend.

While defender seats look kind of agricultural I assure you they are very comfortable especially on long trips. I'm sure many others will tell you the same

There was a discussion on this recently but I can't locate the thread.
Seats are a very personal thing, but many seem to have the opinion that Disco seats are very comfortable initially but can become uncomfortable for some on long trips. Defender seats don't look as 'nice' but are comfortable and retain their comfort for most on long trips.
If you decide on a Defender, give the standard seats a go, you can always change them later if you want to.

mate, my defender seats are more comfy than wife's honda or previous holden, they don't look it but I think cause u sit like in a chair rather than with u'r legs streached out they work. Also in NSW u need engineer's ticket if changing seats to keep u'r insurance happy

my back is rotten with arthritis, and is easily upset, but it can cope all day in my 130 no trouble. I'm 6'1" and I don't have extension rails. Try the 130 first. You may be pleasantly surprised. By the way, there are bits available to restore the Defender seats if they're worn, eg, covers, foam squabs etc.

I find the Defer seats really quite comfortable but the real issue is that they don't lie down backwards. Is there any way of doing this or are my seats defective?
    cheers Gerald

PS one drives horses (are you a jockey or an old style milkman? Anyway if you're a jockey the seats will be fine) if you get a hold of the latest defender seats or the SVX ones you'll find they're leather heated Recaro's - pretty swish!!

My question is.....how do you access the batteries and ecu compartment if you replace the seats with something else where the base doesn't pull off.....?
