    voted one of the best!

    I'm on the 4WD action magazine email list and this just came in:

    If you’re on our Facebook page, then no doubt you would’ve taken part in the voting for the Best 4WD Ever Made over the past week. I’m very excited to be able to tell you that we’ve now tallied the votes and have the final six most popular 4WDs in Australia. In no particular order, they are;

    Suzuki Sierra
    Land Rover Defender 110
    JK Wrangler
    2nd Gen Pajero
    80 Series LandCruiser
    GQ Patrol

    So................................computer literate people who are in to Facebook and reckon 4WD Action is worth subscribing to think these are the best 4WD's ?

    Hmm.................................not the criteria I would have picked for an 'expert' panel. Even so they got the 110 right.

    They are all fighting for 3rd place behind the real 110 and in the distance, #1 by far the original RRC

    Well DeanoH, my son bought me a 6 month subscription for my birthday and no, I'm certainly not on Facebook and do agree with your "expert" panel sentiments but then again the list was apparently picked by the readers who certainly got one of votes correct, didn't they?
    And uninformed, even though I love my 96 300Tdi Def 110 dearly, I think I'd be happier in a new one that didn't leak as much, didn't have any rust (yet) was a hell of a lot quieter, faster, more comfortable inside and yes a bit thirstier and dare I say it potentially more frustrating due to ongoing problems despite the not insignificant purchase price (mind you I did see a 2008 Cruiser in a car yard the other day for $69,990 - which blew me away - 4 years old and still that much)

    Well i voted for the 110.

    Dunno what all you old codgers think is wrong with facebook. But i swing all my own spanners, went 4wding today (for my birthday haha) and use facebook as it's a great way of breaking the ice when you're shy and meeting people.

    Sure give it crap, but it's getting old, like your Isuzus (joking, i would love one haha), don't knock it till you've tried it.

    Cheers
    Will
