How much uptravel did you lose from lowering the top shock mounts?

Yes,but you have lost your up travel, which is needed to maintain stability, and it looks like you are running the standard tailshaft,so you will more than likely have binding of the unis at the end of your travel. And looking at the stress on the top shock mount, those bushes wont last too long!!!

I don't think you loose any up travel, factory shocks on factory mounts have about 2 inch up travel in them. That's why they do the 2 inch lowered mounts to suit factory length shocks. I may be wrong.

    Cool Landy though.

    flex

    hi
ihave a very similar set up on my rangie. you will more than likely be bottoming out on your shocks. you will need to get extended bump stops and dont forget you will also need extended brake lines.

going by the first pic, it already has extended bump stops.

That doesn't make sense. If the factory shocks only had 2" of up travel from a static rest point, and you lower the top mount 2",then technically you eliminate uptravel altogether before the shock tops out.
Standard Land Rover suspension, has a lot more than 2" of up travel. The reasoning for lowering the top mount,is to increase the amount of droop in the suspension, but this is done at the expense of up travel, when using the same shock lengths.
Lots of suspension droop looks pretty fancy to onlookers, but isn't all that practical in the real world,if you don't increase up travel as well,as the two combined are what gives the vehicle stability off road, when done properly on all four corners.

Yeah sorry I gave a bad description. At compression the shock still has 2 inches of up travel in it.

I agree with your post though.
