    Load Rating - Wheels

My MY12 D4 has the 18" wheels on it, but I can't seem to find a stamp with the load rating. Anyone know what it is?

Also, anyone with the 20" factory D4 wheels know what they are rated at?

I'm thinking 930kg, but the MY12 RRS 20" Style 9 wheels are only rated to 858kg and the RRS is heavier in both tare and gross. That said, the D4 has a higher max rear axle load.

Checked the manual and tyre placard on the car with no luck.

    Cheers

    LR3 /D3 18" and 19" wheels are 940 kgs

I cannot speak of the D4, but the D3 / LR3 factory 19" six spoke wheels are rated at 940 kg as are the 10 spoke Cromodora 18" wheels. The links below are to the 6 and 10 spoke wheels even though it appears otherwise.

Generally all of the newer Land Rover products, the Range Rover Sport and the FF Range Rover have wheels that will physically fit the 3 or 4 but are rated lower.

Two of the pdf's below show the inside markings on a factory Cromodora six spoke 19" wheel; the third and forth, on an 18" ten spoke.

The first jpg is the load rating, the second, the brand marking, the third, the part number and the fourth, the Japan and DOT EU acceptance markings.

If you have the lower rated RRS wheels on they are under rated for the vehicle

Only the (superceded) 2.7 ltr D4 weighs (just) less than an RRS. Even so, the D4 2.7 still has a greater Gross Vehicle Mass, so rims for any D4 are load-rated at 940kg, whereas for the RRS the largest load-rated rim is 900kg.
