			New Defender immobilizer remote

Hi all, today I bought a new immobilizer remote for my Defender from Purnell motors.

After limping out of spare parts department ,I head over to the service department as instructed by the parts sales guy to have it synchronized , the service guy tells me I need to book the Def in to have it done , is this true ?

So the big question is, can I do it myself ?

The key fob needs to be programmed/synched to the AS10 for it to be recognized so that it works. If you have an IDS/SDD or MSV2 diagnostic tool then it is an easy process to programme the new fob yourself.
