Just had my first service done on my Defender 90 bought brand spanking new in Feb of this year and just thinking about some of the things with the car that I don't like and some of the things that I do. Apart from the turbo hose falling off a few months back and getting fixed under warranty, I have had no problems - actually it's been quite good. The small fuel tank is the only major problem with this vehicle - and the only thing I can really fine fault with. That's a pretty good vehicle in my books. The only other thing that really annoys me is that when I am rooting around in the back and have my keys in my pocket, leaning against the edge of the doorframe it always pushes the button on the remote and the horn goes off making me jump! But that's an issue with my height etc not a vehicle fault.
Hey, has anybody noticed on the D90 that when you have the aerial fully extended, it's just a smidgin higher than the roof? I find that it's brilliant when you go into the shopping centre carparks and if the aerial passes under the warning sign hanging from the ceiling, then you can fit in. I don't know the height but the aerial says about 1.9 m.

I bought my new in March I also love it, but after owning a Patrol with two tanks, the small tanks are a nightmare. I have just about finished all the mods. Some of the mods so far
- Terrafirma bulbar from Mulgo
- Seat extensions from Mulgo.
- Gme UHF
- Pioneer head unit with Bluetooth and pioneer sub woofer.
- X box from Mulgo
- wind cheater roof rack from Mulgo.
- Arb compressor
- Mantec Snorkel
- LR towbar.
- sound proofing from Jaycar.
- intake grills from Rijidij
- Piaa spotlights.
- currently getting Rijidij wheel and Jerry can holder.
- only mods left is a winch, Autron cruise control and fuel tanks from Mulgo.
I will post all the photos when it is finished.
I have run out of fuel on the Hume!

No mods to my D90 yet, but planning on a snorkel, tow bar and bull bar. Seen a few of the ARB bull bars and they seem to look quite good.
However, after spending the long weekend at Newnes and finding that I need yet another camping mattress (how many is it in the last few years?), and the gas jets in my gas lamp and 2 burner stove are all dodgy, I will have to make a list of stuff that I need and prioritise accordingly.
Oh, and another fuel tank. Now that I have a decent vehicle that I can travel around the countryside in, I will be planning more Aussie holidays instead of trekking in foreign parts. Well, apart from the odd ski trip in Japan!
Have a new D90 Febuary and its blow off the turbo hose twice, then cracked it the third time, the lower radiator hose came lose, its been on a tray back twice now.... is there anything else that i should be aware of...

I've just come back from about 4,500 km's of towing a loaded trailer and thank God for fitting the twin auxiliary tanks from Mulgo! Filled up in Geraldton for the final leg home, fighting a head wind and travelling at 110 kph, the fuel light came on after 273 km's. That's 18.7 lts/100km! It was magic to be able to reach to the dash and hit the first of the two fuel transfer switches. Within a few minutes the fuel light went out and some time later the pump starting clunking to let me know the aux tank was close to empty. Fuel gauge back to 3/4
. Some time later, same again. Now, a week later, it's still running on that last tank bought in Gero. Doing another trailer run to Busselton, then Cape Leeuwin and then return home this weekend, with 4 people and gear and bicycles, so will again get to appreciate the added fuel range.
Best modification so far by far.
Cheers

Nice work Jaybo - my 110 puma was my service truck for last year's Safari.
Ran short of time and coin to ge a long range tank in before the event - stopped at every servo on the Nullabour and my service team spent half there day refueling the truck.
134 litre LRA tank is about to be fitted and I'm eyeing off the Mulgo subs too
