Have been tolerating the backlash on the fender now for quite a while so it was hard to tell if it was any different than say 12 months ago...it is the daily drive. Finally mentioned it to the dealer (Austral - Bris) last service 50K and it turns out that the handbrake had been over adjusted forever meaning slight contact with the drum hence slowing rotation during clutch changes. This resulted in increased "clunckiness" as the fractionally slower drivetrain received drive again on release of the clutch. Praise the Lord!!! Smooth as...well...something really smooth.

Thing is though I shudder to think what damage has been done to the drive line for all the 50ks mine has done without the adjustment?
