    Vintage

    Old but restored

The culmination of many, many years work by a mate of mine, a 1923 Alfa Romeo, which I believe is the only one of its type in Australia.

    The headlight detail

Does that one have cast iron brake shoes, no linings? I saw an early 1920's Alfa many years ago that had been made into a buckboard ute and it had these brakes which worked surprisingly well for mechanical brakes. I can't remember if it had two or four wheel brakes.

I'll try and remember to ask next time I see him. I think it was 4 wheel brakes but I'm pretty sure it's only 2 wheel braked at the moment, something to do with the linkages ?
