    Long travel shocks

I currently were told by a mechanic that if I used Nissan rear shocks for my 87RRClassic and Landcruiser front shocks I will get more flex than using an OEM syle shocks.. toughdog /white tiger etc... Can someone shed some light please ... im getting confussed on what shocks I should replace

I currently have +3" king springs tough dog long travel rears ,dislocating cones etc
    Bilstein fronts dislocating cones etc
As we all do I'm wanting more travel and flex..
Hope there is the right set up out there.. Cheers.

Longer shocks have a longer compressed length
That means raised top shock mounts
    Or spaced bumpstops(the easy/cheap/rougher way)
Google gwyn Lewis for mounts (the best way )
Most 12 inch travel LC or Pootrol shock will fit the front
Have a look at eshock for 7100 bilsteins

Yep, been running them off and mostly on for the best part of ten years now and are a straight bolt up.

MQ, through GQ and now GU leaf rear dampers will fit.

i ran patrol rears for about a week and found them to not have enough control.

I ended up going 14' bilstiens on X-eng raised mounts rears

and OME comp spec 80 series fronts.

What Billies? and what mounts? (I checked the X-Eng website and could not find any shock mounts )

Hahaha, except this was different, I was backing up your comment by quoting you, not ignoring you and all the other answers as if they didn't exist.

And that's what the 'net is for isn't it ?

Hack research then regurgitate as if it's your own ?
