Where is the how to build a Pulse Buster thread

Searched on AULRO and Google for the AULRO How to build a Pulse Buster Thread and cannot find it.

I know it is here somewhere - can someone give me a link.

I have built one using 20amp relays on each indicator circuit - stops the pulses and leds work but the car is not recognising the load of the relays so not recognising a trailer being connected. Maybe I just need more load ie 40amp relays but want to check the thread first.

    Thanks

Put a load resistor across the relay coil. A 25w 12v 8ohm worked fine for mine. Pick them up for eBay for a couple of dollars delivered. Just search LED load resistor. If I find the link I'll post it.

Thanks for that - just what I was after. Using a 20-40amp relay I am surprised the resistor is needed as I would have thought the resistance in the relay would have been adequate - however the resistor it is.

    Cheers

I got a couple of resistors today and installed them - all works as advertised.

Even with only a couple of minutes testing with the hazards on the resistors got very hot so i installed them on the outside of the little box I have the wiring and relays in.

The only issue is have is that the dash indicator no longer shows if the indicators on the trailer is actually working - shows that the resistor and relay is working - small price to pay I guess.

Thanks to rufusking and everyone who contributed on the other thread.

    Cheers
