Anyone own the D4 I spotted at Penrith panthers, on Sat 17/11?

Am very jealous - looked like a great setup. Wish I had taken a photo now.

    ARb bar and warn winch
    17" with maxi bighorns
    rack with led light strip

No but you just reminded me of someone who took a photo of my D4 on the M5 near Sutton Forest. They were in a D2 & the older bearded passenger hung out the window with an slr camera.

    I was slightly amused..

Yes, that was my Stornaway Grey D4. See pictures is my album, although they need updating, as I got rid of the roof light pod & replaced with the 42" LED light bar. Also got LLAMS now.
Stayed o/nite at Panthers Chifley Hotel.
Parked under a tree, and next morning it looked like a teradactyl had roosted above it! Not happy!
    Cheers,
    Marc...

ah yes, the seemingly safe and sheltering tree. This is what I call a pub tree where, it seems, every Lorakete and Indian Minor from miles around congregate at the end of the day to to have a chin wag and cover everything below the tree in crap before flying off home to bed.

I have learnt to inspect the ground first for the tell tale signs....

    BTW very nice D4.
    Cheers,

    Sean

Knew it had to belong to someone on the forum

    wanted to ask....
The light bar - are they any good? Can/do they replace the need for driving lights on the bullbar?
How do you run the cable? I guess you have to drill under the rubber strips? Which I guess might not be an easy option for me as I have the full length rail kit.

The light bar is exceptional good. Mine has both spot and flood beam reflectors, and 16,200 lumens total output.

I have HID driving lights (euro beam) on the bullbar and have also upgraded the halogen infill high beams to 55w HID's, so have plenty of light available!
It's my opinion that the combination of this LED light bar and the D4's upgraded highbeams means that the HID euro beams are not necessary.
BUT, note that it is illegal to operate the LED light bar when on public roads due to it's height above the road. And I agree with that whole heartedly. With them on and coming over a crest, the oncoming traffic are affected way before I would be by their lights.
Anyways, the LED light bar is brilliant offroad. Highly recommended.
And you are right, the cable is run under the rubber roof strip and down the passenger side windscreen trim.

I suppose they'd be a good choice to replace the 6 halogen lights on the front of my header!
