    Accidentally bought a new defender....

After living through the warranty issues on 2 new defenders over the last 10 years, I swore to myself I would never ever buy another New one... I said to my self - buy an older County and put the money into doing it up. What could be better than a restored v8 county...

I just ordered a MY13 defender an xTech Limited edition. And for some strange reason I'm extremely excited! Looks like I won't be getting that county any time soon now.

That's funny because I've been restoring an old county and have been wondering if I should have bought a new one instead...

I guess the grass is always greener...

Hmmm I bought a new Discovery this year and am currently restoring an old Defender.

Do I have the worst of both Worlds?

    The D4 is awesome!

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

I walked into a Land Rover dealership today, they had no Defenders in stock. I asked for a Defender brochure, and the sales rep immediately warned me about the health risks to my kidneys.

I told him I had found Land Rover coils more comfortable that Land Rover air bags (without saying that I owned both / either).

He did say the Defenders held their value really well, and they sold as soon as any were in stock, and that they were the most capable....

So why did he try to talk me out of one? and why don't they have any in stock?

By the way, congratulations on your X-Tech.

Totally agree with you. The ride in my '85 County is better than my D3. Even my wife agrees. They may be hot, noisy and dusty but they're not rough.

I need this comment repeated to my wife. All she talks about is the ride.
My defender is 6 weeks old now, I'm loving it but the female side of the family is not......

I second that. On the plus side the kids would divorce me if I ever got rid of it!

    What are your tire pressures?

Also, counties ( 110's) have much softer suspension that deefers.
