Nice, looks like your going to be busy
Well must be a sucker full timeSaw this on evilbay and thought Hmm just bid this much, it will make a lot more!
Next thing I know its on the trailer!
Ahh bugger! project for next ?years! Has rust in usual spots, chassis is perfect aprt from a little cancer in dumbirons, doors seem not bad , front door pillers and adjoining firewall yes. Worst is in lower box sections of rear door wheelarch . Has dead gearbox, but 2 spares, was a six but now a 202 holden, Bamford winch complete in the back.
Oh, its a 1970 model and was last regoed in 2001and no the front is not bent, only my wacky cell phone camera!

Nice, looks like your going to be busy
Looks that wayWell I think will use it to teach the young fella some mechanical skills as we go along the resto route, and patience!!
Nice, I wish my dad bought me a LR to restore when I was younger.... have to figure it all out myself now that I'm older and can afford a toy.
Ahh dont we all?Although I sometimes wonder about getting stuff to easy
Im thinking about should I put a LR 6 back in it to stay authentic? Its unlikely to be used as a long distance tourer again
Finding 1 may present a problem though, I do have 1 in the shed but it was left in the weather and pots got water and rusted :/ so probly not the best to get going.
I see you are from Mackay debruiser, funny as the fella I got this off said it came from Nebo I think to his hands in Rocky and now its in Biloela!
Cheers Scott

PS. Son, enjoy the time with your old man. You can never have too much father/son time over cars.
I reckon that its not the camera, I reckon the car is smiling!

It's a small world! My car came from Kuttabul the to it's previous owner 500m down the road from me (never saw it there) found it 1 wk after he moved half way to sarina! then had to drag it back here. (wasn't road worthy or running).
Originally my beast was a 6cyl too. has a 186 in it now... I was to change it to a diesel though. When I get the gearbox sorted and a rear swingaway carrier then I think the engine is next
One day we should get all/some the central Qld AULRO people together for a meet somewhere! It'd be cool to meet some localish people with similar interests ie. Series land rovers
Sounds about how old Murphy works in purchasing !The get together idea sounds great! Deciding which to take could be a problem to some!!
The more I look over this 1 the more I find to doIt seems to have had some bingle on the passengers side that has had a repair of sorts, chassis doors gaurd, back to rear of back door. Ah well thats what happens, it will just be more testing of my mediocre panel skills
Cheers Scott
Choosing isn't the problem for me. I'm only aloud 1 LR
I'm still gently prodding that we should get a 2nd one (maybe a swb county)
Isn't half the point of buying these things to have something to do and work on our crappy panel beating techniques???
